Clean gloves
This all in one cartridge contains the toner and a photoreceptor. In these instructions, you must first separate the developer
housing from the photoreceptor.
1. Prepare a clean work area. Use clean gloves. Remove two screws on each side of the cartridge.
2. On the gear side of the cartridge, lift the upper half of the unit to separate the photoreceptor from the developer housing.
Holding the developer housing, remove the toner plug. Dump and vacuum out any excess toner remaining inside housing.
3. Next, you must remove the developer roller. To begin, remove both springs attached to the seal. Set springs aside. Rotate
shaft retainer on each side of roller. This unlocks the shaft that holds the developer roller. Pull the shaft retainer out.
The gear
and shaft of the development roller are greased. Make sure that this grease does not get onto roller!
Use a lint free towel or tissue
to remove and wipe grease off of shaft and gear at each end of the roller. Carefully lift developer roller out using a lint free cloth.
Place roller on a dry and clean surface.
