Fuji Xerox releases DocuPrint CP205 LED toner printer

Fuji Xerox has released DocuPrint CP205 desktop toner printer that utilizes the company's S-LED technology, in New Zealand market.
The printer uses toner cartridges like a normal laser printer, but replaces the laser and rotating mirror with a solid-state array of LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes).
DocuPrint CP205 has a resolution of 1200 x 2400 dpi for colour prints and design which means less moving parts and a higher resolution of images scanned onto the drum, allowing for a faster and better quality print.
The printer connects through USB or Ethernet connections. DocuPrint CP205 does not have Wi-Fi connectivity or the ability to directly print from removable storage such as memory cards or USB sticks.
DocuPrint CP205 can print 12 ppm in colour, and 15 ppm in monochrome. Four toner cartridges are high yield, with 2000 pages for the black toner at $89, and 1400 pages each for cyan, magenta and yellow at $99 each.
The printer itself is available in New Zealand now for $405.
