Epson introduced new professional photo printer Stylus Photo R2000

Epson Stylus Photo R2000 is the succesor of the popular Stylus Photo R1900 printer model. Epson Stylus Photo R2000 is 13"-wide printer, pigment ink powered printer (Epson UltraChrome Hi-Gloss 2 pigment ink).

Like previous model it uses 8 cartridges with Photo Black, Matte Black, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Red, Orange ink and Gloss optimizer for glossy look and feel of printed photos, high print resolution up to 5760 x 1440 dpi, two USB ports (compatible with PictBridge) and Energy Star qualification.

The difference between new and old model is wireless and Ethernet connectivity in addition to the standard USB port found on the R1900. Other improvements include high capacity cartridges, auto-selecting black inks and a variety of media handling up to 13-inches with roll paper support, a rear tray for photo paper, and a single sheet feeder for heavy fine art materials which can be found in new R2000 model.

The Epson Stylus Photo R2000 will be available in May 2011. The suggested retail price of $499 is $50 cheaper than the original suggested retail price of the Stylus Photo R1900.
