HP releases new wide-format printers

HP announced its new range of wide-format ePrinters for design professionals. The printers are designed to be simply connected to the internet for direct and online printing.
The range includes the HP Designjet T1300 ePrinter and the HP Designjet T790, for large and smaller companies respectively. The printers are available from the beginning of June for $7090 and $6190 for the T1300 and T790.
The printers also contain USB connectivity with driverless printing, as well as a colour touchscreen for ease of use. They also feature a connection to the HP ePrint & Share cloud-printing program, which also includes the capability for mobile printing. An upgrade for the Designjet T2300 will be released May 20 to allow the older model to access ePrint & Share.
Santiago Morera, Vice President and General Manager, Designjet Large-Format Solutions, HP, said: ”Last year, HP announced the first web-enabled, integrated multifunction printer priced below $9,000, which introduced an improved way to collaborate and share large-format content.
”Today, HP is dramatically simplifying the large-format printing experience by enabling our customers to print and upload their personal content to and from the web in an instant and access their files where the job takes them.”
