HP launches “most compact” laser printer

HP states that the M175nw is its smallest colour multifunction laser printer to be released, with dimensions of 441 mm x 421 mm x 338 mm (width, depth and height).

The M175nw is aimed at small and medium businesses, with its smaller dimensions and multifunctional capabilities making it a "smart strategic investment", according to HP.

The printer’s features include the OEM’s Auto-Off and Instant-On technologies, which allow for energy saving boot-ups and auto-switch offs when the printer is not in use. It also features wireless connectivity, and is among the first few printers that contains compatibility with HP’s ePrint software, which allows users to print from mobile devices to the company’s printers anywhere in the world.

Heidrun Gross, product manager, Imaging and Printing Group for HP, stated: "The M175 printer series enables SMBs to demonstrate the quality and professionalism of big companies while addressing the needs of a smaller business," said Heidrun Gross, product manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP. "With its vivid colour output, small footprint and low power consumption, the HP LaserJet Pro 100 colour MFP M175nw will become a trusted and valuable business tool."

The printer is available in North American, Europe and the Middle East and Africa now, and will be released in the Asia Pacific and Latin America before August 1. The M175nw is priced at $349.
