HP OfficeJet 6000 and 7000 Printers: Helping Businesses Keep Up With Competition

HP is once again displaying support for small and medium-sized businesses with their announcement of new additions to their HP OfficeJet portfolio. The OfficeJet series has been known to offer small businesses the opportunity to save on printing costs and energy consumption by up to 50%. In addition to the new models, HP also announced the introduction of specialized support packages aimed at providing small businesses with improved technical support for their office environment.
The announcements were made during the National Small Business Week of the U.S. Small Business Administration at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Conference Center in Washington, D.C. The goal of HP with these new products and services is to help small businesses improve their efficiency and reduce printing costs without necessarily sacrificing quality.
The new HP printers are the OfficeJet 6000 Printer Series and the OfficeJet 7000 Wide Format Printer. The OfficeJet 6000 series is said to have the ability to deliver prints at high speeds, and is equipped with both wired and wireless networking. As with most new models geared towards the small business market, the 6000 series comes with automatic duplex printing. The HP OfficeJet 6000 Printer Series is set to be available worldwide next month.
The HP OfficeJet 7000, on the other hand, is HP's first entry-level wide-format printer with individual inks. It reportedly delivers the lowest cost per page when compared with other inkjet printers in its class. It has the ability to print high-quality color documents and photo-quality borderless prints in various sizes, ranging from small postcard-sized prints to 13 x 19 – inch posters. The printer will be available in North America, Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa by July.
All the printers above are Energy Star-certified.
In addition, HP expanded its Total Care portfolio to include the new OfficeJet Care Packs and wireless printer installation services.
