HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-In-One

We first featured the HP Officejet Pro 8500 when it was launched in March, and today we will share with you certain points we read from a review by M. David Stone on PCMag.
The 8500 has three models in the series, which all carry the same engines. The differences in price are largely due to differences in physical attributes as well as additional features that exist in the more expensive models.
PCMag's review was primarily on the Wireless All-In-One model, the mid-range model in the series that follows after the Premier All-In-One, which contains extra color cartridges and a second paper tray for an increased capacity, and features a bigger scanner bed and well-designed controls and menus when compared to the cheaper model Pro 8500 All-In-One.
The 8500 series was generally launched with the small office in mind, and based on that purpose and the general observations shared in the review, the HP Pro 8500 Wireless certainly looks like it can deliver. One of the first things Stone mentioned was the fact that as an inkjet printer, it is comparable more to an inexpensive color laser all-in-one than to other inkjets.
The Pro 8500 Wireless has print, scan and fax capabilities, both through a PC interface and as a standalone machine. Among the notable points indicated about the machine is print speed for documents, and print quality was deemed acceptable for text and impressive for photos. Another good point mentioned was low running cost, pegged at 1.6 cents per black and white page and 7.2 cents per color page.
All told, the HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-In-One may be a good addition – or replacement – for a small business being run entirely from the home, especially if the objective is to acquire a printer that will concurrently serve both home and office printing purposes.
